Kate Smith-Morse

Kate Smith-Morse is a DC area native who studies sculpture and performance art, first at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and now at the Maryland Institute College of Art. A jill-of-all-trades when it comes to backstage, she has worked on costumes, sets, and props construction around these parts since 2008. When not working on shows, or being employed as a freelance seamstress and figure art model, Kate pursues her own active studio practice, races sailboats, and has been known to cut a mean rug at the Glen Echo swing dances. She send out a tremendous amount of love and thanks to all her family and friends who’ve supported her dirty little artist career, and to all of you reading this. You are beautiful creatures, each and every one.
